Designed last a life time this ceramic pestle and mortar is both functional and sculptural. Made using a coarse stoneware clay body and finished with a layered matt glaze. The glaze is poured by hand, creating organic patterns that highlight the texture of the clay beneath. Each set is unique, with subtle variations in surface and form that reflect the process of making. Sanded to be perfectly smooth and sealed with cold press olive oil.
